Huh so that's where all my research for my history paper went? I spent like two hours trying to find it I guess I sent here on ass-i dent And its going to disappear as soon as I post this blog. Any who survived Spring semister with out much pain. I may only have to take my stupid biology class again, but I think I'm okay with a D+, I think that it passes me though. Which means when I'm done with this summer semester I will be done with my first degree!!!! I'm so excited 1- because I NEVER EVER EVER have to do math again, but then 2- I'm further done with my degree than my older sisters who have been working on theirs almost four to two years longer than I have!! HAHAHA take that!!!
I have so many thoughts that I'm not quite sure what to post. I guess I could start with today and work my way back to when ever. So I started summer classes at UVU and they seem alright, I can tell though that I have my work cut out for me, 1- Its like a whole semester in 7 weeks!! I'm taking a brit lit class and there is only so much classic lit, one can take, and 2 the school still hasn't approved my loan for summer. I guess that i need to raise some hell tomorrow and see what's going on. again I am way excited that I have so much done and I'm still just a freshman.
I guess I wanted to talk about the blog I just found. Its MBP. I kind of stumbled upon it this morning. I was reading my fathers blog and got really bored. Don't get me wrong I love my father and everything and sometimes his post are alright but I feel as if I'm reading his papers (he sometimes has me look over them) then reading a blog. Anywho I started to look at what other people who look at his blog look at and sort of found it. I find Calvin and Jake - the Authors of the blog- have made me laugh since I started to read it a 8 this morning to about an hour ago (on and off inbetween my classes and such, most it was a brilliant bus read). Some of the laughter yes has been at comments and experiences that they have shared but mostly I was laughing because people don't seem to think that what they are writing about is real. I think that they are writing what they truly experience in their "pad". but really the thing that has me laughing in an ironical sort of way is that I totally could have been their friend in high school. Although they are a couple of years older than I, and I am from that cursed Utah county, let alone the south end of the county *gasp*. They sound like the many guy friends that I have had through out my life.
Just some of the stories that they share its like I'm being reminded of all my guy friends and things that they would do. As my blog title says I have been "one of guys" for pretty mush as long as I can remember and as such I think that I have been privy to not only here stories like those from the MBP, but also to see a side of a guy that most females haven't or won't see. That used to/ still drives me nuts depending on the person (like Sean, he is a whole other post that i will have to share sometime.) Jake and Calvin seem to fit right in with the.
Other than the fact that Jake and Calvin relate (at least from the blogs) perfectly to those crappy ass guy friends of mine, and there superficial rule, guidelines and even the whole rating system. I find the blog a refreshing look at the "righteous" (more like self righteous) view that most RM/ or even just males have of themselves in this "wonderful" state of Utah. It now seems that other females (because that seems to be the main base of followers they have) can see they side of a guy that he usually would not share other wise.
I absolutely love the comments made by females who are convinced that not all RMs are like this and that theirs would never think they way that these two man cubs ( I'll call them that because I think that they are immature in many ways) think or even act. But in all reality guess what they are, and maybe be worse! I'm not a big fan of RM or even missions for that matter and it makes me wounder if these two had the same attitudes before they left. Which I can prolly say with out a doubt that they did, so did a mission really make you a more spiritually prepared person or was it a case its on the check list to eternity along with getting married as soon as possibly after the mission and making sure that the little trophy wife pops out enough children that you could your own country.
Its not that I'm attacking these two man cubs it that in a strange round about way I'm trying to applaud them giving the rest of the female race the view of guys that I have always had but no one else has seen.
WOW this turned out longer than I thought it would and I still haven't updated you on my stories of the Chuck child. I prolly should share those with you. But alas i'm tired and have an 8 o'clock class that i need to get to I'll write about it later.
